The Peak District National Park in Derbyshire is the second most visited national park in the world! Not so incredible really when you realise that the Peak District is within 70 minutes drive of all the major conurbations in England apart from London. The Peak District in Derbyshire is divided into two distinct areas; the Dark Peak to the north and the White Peak to the south. The Dark Peak area is best known for its peat bogs and wild, open, barren landscapes, whereas the White Peak is an area of lush rolling pasture land broken only by the famous Peak District dry stone walls. Both areas are classed as being of outstanding natural beauty and contain many rare examples of flora and fauna. The Peak District National Park Derbyshire was the first area in Britain to be designated a National Park in 1952. Since then it has become more and more accessible to people searching for peace, tranquillity and the pleasure of enjoying a good day's walking, cycling or just touring around, taking in the stunning beauty on offer in our wonderful Peak District National Park.
At Riverside B&B we have three B&B rooms; a double, a twin / super king size and our family suite comprising of double bed with children's bunk beds in an adjoining room. All our beautifully decorated rooms have full ensuite facilities and come with a range of quality toiletries, beverage facilities with a selection of tea, fruit tea, coffee, drinking chocolate and a selection of biscuits and fresh fruit. Our family suite has the added bonus of a whirlpool bath, much enjoyed by our younger guests!

For your added peace of mind we have also installed a high speed Wi-Fi broadband
internet connection which you may access, currently running at 5.6meg. (Not bad
for a remote rural hamlet?)
All we ask is that you please respect our connection.
